Joe Flanner Memorial Golf Outing

Thank you to the Flanner Family and friends. The 2007 Joe Flanner Memorial Golf Outing was a huge success. The golf course was filled with over eighty golfers. Through golfing, a live auction and more the event raised over $9,000 for Literacy Services of Wisconsin.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year in early August.

LSW Open House & Book Sale

Our annual Book Sale and Open House takes place in September of each year. This year's Open House, held on September 8th, coincided with International Literacy Day.

Spellbound for Literacy 2008

Thank you to all who participated in the 2007 Spellbound for Literacy. Will the M&I Bank 'Word Nerds' be able to defend their title in 2008? Find out on October 23rd at We Energies Auditorium.

Annual Tutor Conference

Thank you to Wilson certified trainer Tina Strassbaugh for addressing tutors in our Comprehensive program. Over thirty volunteers participated in this three day long training session in November of 2007. The next Tutor Conference will take place sometime in November of 2008.

Holiday Party

Join us for fun and festivities on Saturday, December 15th at our annual Holiday party. Refreshments, songs, and other activities will celebrate a year of learning and working together.

2008 Literacy Luncheon

Save the date - Thursday, May 1, 2008. The third annual Literacy Luncheon and Report to the Business Community will feature Federal Judge Reggie B. Walton as Keynote speaker and address the community on the need for literacy in America as well as Milwaukee.
