2008 Literacy Luncheon

Vote Literacy - Build Milwaukee. Join us on Thursday May 1, 2008 for the third annual Literacy Luncheon and Report to the Business Community.

The Honorable Reggie B. Walton will serve as Keynote speaker. Learn how Judge Walton overcame personal and academic adversity to rise to a position of national prominence. Hear his powerful message "Overcoming Educational Deficiencies: Conquering Illiteracy Must Be a National Priority."

Walton presided over the Scooter Libby trial and has been appointed by three Presidents to various judicial appointments, including the Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Court.

In addition to Walton, prominent Milwaukee lawyer and business leader Ulice Payne will address the audience. He will welcome his boyhood friend, Judge Walton, to Milwaukee, and add remarks in support of the Judge's message promoting literacy.
