Spellbound for Literacy 2007
Congratulations to the 2007 Spellbound for Literacy Champions: The 'Word Nerds' of M&I Bank. The BloodCenter of Wisconsin put up a valiant effort as runner-up, forcing several tie breakers before the Word Nerds correctly spelled 'teff.' The Word Nerds won their division and also outspelled division winners The Business Journal and Briggs & Stratton Corporation.
Charles Benson of WTMJ-TV was the Master of Ceremonies and kept the event running smoothly. "It's a great cause. I feel lucky to be asked to be a part of it" Benson remarked.
Music, food and fun was enjoyed by all. Thank you to the guests and sponsoring companies. We look forward to seeing you in 2008.
