What is Literacy Services?
Literacy Services is a school where adults (ages 18 and up) can improve their basic skills.
Why would I go to Literacy Services?
Literacy Services can help you if:
- You do not speak English.
- You want to learn to read.
- You want to read or write better.
- You want to get a GED.
Who will teach me?
Volunteer tutors.
How often will I go to class?
Two or more days per week, for one and one half hours per class.
When are classes offered?
9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
9 a.m. to 12 noon on Fridays and Saturdays.
How long will it take me to learn?
Each student works at his or her own speed.
How much does it cost?
Classes are FREE!! Students pay a $5 fee to register and for any books they may need.

Where are classes held?
At the Laubach Center, 2724 W. Wells Street.
How can I get to the Laubach Center?
The center is on Wells Street near 27th street.
Bus routes 6, 10, 27 and 30 all have stops near the Center.
We are near the 22nd, 26th, and 35th Street exits of the I-94 expressway.
