BECOME A STUDENT: OUR CLASSES

Our general model is one-on-one student/tutor sessions, although we also have some group classes. You may work with different tutors over time.

Literacy Services of Wisconsin (LSW) has four core programs:

The Adult Basic Education reading program is for students who want to improve their reading and spelling skills. We use a special phonics program, the Wilson Reading System.

Our English as a Second Language (ESL) program offers instruction in English speaking, reading, and writing for speakers of other languages.

The GED / pre-GED program is for students who want to prepare for their GED tests.

A new program in Functional Literacy offers classes in computer literacy, financial literacy, and workforce readiness. Active LSW students are eligible to participate in these classes.
